We had a great Installation Dinner on Tuesday night to ring in the new year, present our annual awards, and swear in (not at) the new Board of Directors for 2026. In addition to last year's award winners being presented with their 'forever plaques', the following chapter members were awarded:

- Witherspoon Award (for getting all those background things done that no one notices but are essential for the running of the chapter): MARK LEADER
- President's Award: BOB AVERY
- Director's Sectional Awards: WADE PENGILLY, JIM KIRSCHNER, LOREN CORNER, BRANDON FOSTER
- Director's Award: JOHN CONTRERAS
- Barbershopper of the Year: JOHN CONTRERAS

This year we also "caught up" inductions into the Cascade Chorus Hall of Fame, and welcomed new members: TIM KNIGHT, LEONARD CLEARWATER, DENNY STIERS, DON THORNE and RICH WATKINS.

BILL DEVAREAUX graciously agreed to do the honors and swear in the new Board, and in return we honored him for his 47th year as a member of BHS.

We had some great musical interludes from Brotherhood of the Ring, and Social Insecurity quartets - and then called it a night, primed and ready for the new year, our 80th!

On display was the original charter for Cascade Chorus, way back in 1946, and if you look closely you can spot signatures from a couple guys a few of you may have heard of, Frank Thorne and O.C. Cash!

Keep the whole world singing!

Barring Oregon hosting a College Football playoff game in December, today was a wrap for Cascade Chorus and the work they do for University of Oregon concessions at Hayward Field and Autzen Stadium. Many thanks to all the chorus members, spouses, friends, and members of other choruses who helped out in our booth in 2025, without the 100's of hours you volunteer, we wouldn't be able to give back to the community and fund free concerts and afterglow events. Go Ducks!

Everyone sings, it's part of our DNA - the Cascade Chorus would love you to sing with us and experience the joy of close-harmony, a ca****la singing!
