Happy one-year anniversary to The Human Dispersal Project! It's hard to believe a whole year has flown by since its launch, and it's been truly moving to hear such good feedback on the book in that time. Heading into my 20th consecutive RPM Challenge (rpmchallenge.com). I can't believe the double-decade year is finally here.

First day of the month and you have no idea what you'll create? No problem: get organized!

Before (actually "During") and After a massive (and very badly needed) studio cleanse and reorganization yesterday. These pics do not remotely convey the chaos of the Before, the far worse chaos of the Transition state, and the improvement of the After. Not pictured are the mountains of twelve years of "stuff" that would avalanche out of the cabinets upon opening, and the austere organization post-purge. Still a bit of organizing and set-up to do before it's totally ready to rock, but we're getting there. Not a measure of music has happened, but at least I'm feeling far more ready for it.

A longstanding dream became a reality tonight, on a visit to the hallowed halls of National Freedom.

It would take far more than this post to explain how much the music made in this place has meant to me (cough: and ). It was an indescribable joy to finally be there in the flesh, to hear those echoes still bouncing off the walls.
