Crafting Change
After five years of impact, Crafting Change has ended its nonprofit era and evolved into a community action group of dedicated volunteers continuing the work.
This page will now be inactive. Thank you for all your support! Imagine sewing a reusable menstrual pad that helps a middle school girl in rural Western Africa stay in school. Or crocheting a winter hat that warms the head of an unhoused man on LA’s Skid Row, or one fighting for freedom in Ukraine. Crafting Change is a 501(c)3 non-profit that matches a crafters love of crafting with tangible good
What started as a simple idea—craft for a cause you care about—became something extraordinary.
After five years of impact, Crafting Change has ended its nonprofit era and evolved into a community action group of dedicated volunteers continuing the work together.
💜 We invite you to join our Facebook group: The Crafting Change Community: Community Action Craftivists and be part of what’s next.

Today we were able to visit with our 2 Colorado partners! We took lunch to the staff at the Greeley Planned Parenthood clinic and they let us know how much the items you craft for them are appreciated!
Then we went to meet with Emily at Grace Upon Grace Project! We got a great tour of what they do!
They are both serving critical needs in the Northern Colorado area and we couldn’t be prouder to be partners!

📣 Welcome to the Board, Mackenzie Bathauer! 🧵💜
We’re so excited to welcome Mackenzie Bathauer to the Crafting Change Executive Board!
Mackenzie brings years of experience in nonprofit work, community engagement, and fundraising—most recently at Planned Parenthood, where she’s focused on healthcare equity and LGBTQ+ rights. She’s a powerful advocate for marginalized and vulnerable communities and shares our belief in the power of creativity as a force for connection and healing.
“I’ve always loved the intention and care behind handmade things... every stitch—like every act of service—can make a difference.”
We’re thrilled Mackenzie has chosen to bring her passion and purpose to Crafting Change’s leadership team. Welcome to the family, Mackenzie!
