Guardian Sailing

I had the opportunity to sail with SV Tenacious out of Portland, Or. Sailing brings together great people for great experiences. Moreover, sailing builds communication, cognitive skills, communication, and trust. Especially in a race like the . Sailing in the Pacific and down the Straits of Juan de Fuca are incredible. Waves, and wind and pressure and provides the opportunity to test one's own limits. This is something we cannot stop doing in our lives as it nearly always brings growth.

No matter what happened to you in the past there is always a path forward to success. Success isn't the income in your pocket. Its the joy in your heart waking to a path that frees you from limitations.

As service members we learn to thrive in uncertainty and sometimes, chaos. Our discipline is what keeps us together. We never had control, just the ability to affect the outcomes we were directly involved with.

Let go and realize God is in control. You don't have to worry about that part. He's got you. You just work on getting back to steadfastness through your current trials. Healing and coping with the uncertainty of our lives, be it trauma, PTSD or just plain old difficulty getting by, is our responsibility.

Know thay you have a team ready and willing to help bring you back to focus and find that discipline that helps you thrive again. You never lost it. It just gets covered up sometimes.

and of team got after it Saturday rowing a few miles around Fern Ridge almost like they knew what they were doing. We even saw portions of the lake we could not have seen by sailboat due to depth.
