Day 12 of our 12 Days of Learning-Story Globe Magic
On Christmas Eve, we slowed things down and created homemade snow globes inspired by our favorite winter stories. Jars, glitter, tiny scenes, and big imaginations filled the table. As we shook our story globes and watched the snow fall, we talked about our favorite books, favorite moments from winter break, and what stories we want to read next.
A perfect reminder that learning, creativity, and togetherness belong in the holiday magic. Wishing everyone a joyful, cozy Christmas Eve.

Day 11 of our 12 Days of Learning
Today, we took turns reading aloud and recording short stories at home. Some of us read, some listened, and some helped press “record.” It was a simple activity, but it built confidence, laughter, and great conversations.
Winter break has reminded us that learning doesn’t have to be complicated; sometimes it’s just about slowing down and giving kids space to use their voices.

Day 10 of our 12 Days of Learning --Winter Haiku Challenge
With snow outside and books piled on the table, we tried writing 5–7–5 winter haikus together. Some were funny, some were thoughtful, and all of them gave everyone a chance to share their voice.

Winter break means extra time at home—and we’ve been turning cozy moments into learning moments with our 12 Days of Learning activities.
Day 7: Book & Bake
We curled up with a favorite story, then headed to the kitchen to make a snack inspired by the characters. Reading felt even more fun when it turned into something we could share together.
Day 8: Winter Story Illustration
After reading, everyone picked a favorite scene to draw. It sparked great conversations and helped us slow down and really talk about the story.
Day 9: Story STEM Challenge
Using things we already had at home, we built creations inspired by the books we read, problem-solving, teamwork, and lots of imagination were included.
