Entry-Level Firefighter/EMT
Starting Annual Compensation: $62,259.78 with FLSA
Lateral Firefighter/EMT
Starting Annual Compensation: $67,016.42 with FLSA

This week, we’re highlighting the important role of sawmill workers in the forest sector! Sawmill workers help turn logs into the lumber and wood products we use every day — from homes and furniture to paper and packaging.

Modern sawmills rely on skilled workers who operate high-tech equipment, monitor quality, maintain safety standards, and make sure every part of the log is used efficiently. These careers combine teamwork, problem-solving, and technology to support sustainable forestry and strong rural communities.
