We have a policy; if for whatever reason you cannot keep your dog, no questions asked, we want them back. We understand. This has only happened twice. No guilt trips here. Everyone has challenges and at times challenges become insurmountable. But Goldens always have a place to go.

This hits hard.
Most of our families come to us having lost a Golden too early in life. We have wept with so many broken-hearted people. But I’ve seen something very true; those who turn around and bring home another puppy, may still have a piece of their heart broken, but their spirit is not broken. These folk have even more love to share, even more bonding to experience.

When humans get hurt they have a hard time trusting again. They build a wall and think they will isolate from the pain. But they actually isolate WITH the pain, behind a wall that won’t let them try again, a wall that breaks their spirit.

You need to break down that wall and open yourself up to another bundle of joy coming into your home to love YOU. To nurture you. To help you smile again and keep you laughing. The bond becomes even deeper. Healing comes in the process. I’ve met many who just couldn’t. And you can see their pain has expanded, the sorrow breaks not just their heart, but their very soul.
