"Igor finished his russian expiditionary style machete/ messer sword and fittings today. The 15N20 blade is convex ground and heat treated to 55 HRC. The fittings are finished with a nitrate and chloride based antiquing solution. Phosphated iron wire twist makes up the handle with copper fittings."

"One of our long time members works on repairing an old leg vise. The leg had a bend in it which was forced out by use of heat and hammer. Here he is making a new spring for the unit."

Done with our new room for the Mill, Lathe, and welder. This room is to keep the equipment clean from coal dust as it can damaging. We are very excited to start working on this equipment was so nice to donate to the shop.

Here’s a project Steven has been working on. It’s a Sgian-dubh. Sgian-dubh is a small, single-edged knife worn as part of traditional Scottish Highland dress along with the kilt.
