Our roaming reporter Terri made the long trip from Northeast PA to Harrisburg safely. She and Joe Reed (Erie Co.) are attending the 2026 Ride to the Rally where A.B.A.T.E. Of PA is working for our rights.

In true Pennsylvania fashion day one was filled with rain as the rain clouds seemed to follow them across PA.

Tomorrow morning is the rally. Stay turned for updates and videos.

Safe travels and thank an A.B.A.T.E. member for all that they do.

Harvest912 Hootenanny: Ride, Rock, and Rally for a Great Cause

If the name alone doesn't intrigue you, the event certainly will. The Harvest912 Hootenanny is rolling into the Edinboro-McKean VFW Post 740 on July 12, 2026, bringing together motorcycles, live music, great food, and an incredible mission of helping some of our community's most vulnerable veterans.

The day kicks off with a motorcycle ride, with registration and breakfast beginning at 10:00 a.m. and kickstands up at 11:00 a.m. After the ride, the party continues with an afternoon and evening filled with music, vendors, food, drinks, and plenty of opportunities to support an organization that is making a real difference throughout the Erie region.

Music begins at 1:00 p.m. and features an outstanding lineup including Chris Higbee, Jake's Blues, and Saved By Grace.

Harvest912 was founded in 2020 after a simple act of kindness changed everything. What began with offering a pair of boots to an unhoused man on the streets of Erie quickly grew into a powerful outreach organization dedicated to serving individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

Today, Harvest912 operates more than 30 mobile clinics each year, maintains an on-site clinic at Erie's seasonal emergency shelter, provides outreach to unsheltered individuals, and has served more than 2,000 people throughout the community. Their mission is straightforward but profound: provide essential healthcare services, healthy food options, and basic necessities while building relationships that restore dignity and hope.

In January 2024, Harvest912 expanded its impact by launching M.I.C. (Missing In Community), a veteran-led outreach program focused on serving unsheltered veterans while also assisting others living in encampments. The program delivers healthcare services, survival supplies, outreach support, and even veterinary care for pets belonging to those living without stable housing.

Every week, Harvest912 volunteers venture into shelters, encampments, and city streets to meet people where they are. They provide foot care, health screenings, hygiene products, healthy meals, referrals to medical and social services, and perhaps most importantly, compassion. Their team walks alongside those they serve, building trust and offering encouragement during some of life's most difficult circumstances.

Mark your calendars for July 12, fire up your motorcycle, bring your lawn chair, and prepare for a day filled with good music, good people, and a great cause. Event Link: https://www.facebook.com/share/1CkshkgHs6/

The Patriot Tour -- 126 DAYS. 50 STATES. 1 FLAG. 1 MISSION

Great weather, great ride for the Flags stay in Pennsylvania! Reasons to Ride was there and honored to be a part of it.

Keith Mayo "Boots" served as Pennsylvania's organizer, but he is quick to point out that this successful event was truly a team effort. Keith credits the entire committee for making everything run seamlessly—and somehow even managing to arrange two beautiful, rain-free days.

Special recognition goes to honored Flag Bearer Joseph King, along with Denny Hanlin, Marshal Chase (Finance Guru), Tom Hanna (the calming voice of reason), Nick Peterson, Jeff Fellows, Megan Travis Brenot, Tom Wonner, Sean Silman, and Randy Good (2nd voice of reason) for their hard work and dedication.

What is The Patriot Tour?
The Patriot Tour is the ceremonial passing of one American flag through all 50 states. Covering more than 15,000 miles over approximately 120 days, the flag is transported on the back of a motorcycle from state to state.

Created to honor all members of the United States military—active duty service members, veterans, those who have passed, and military families—the Tour raises awareness and financial support for disabled veterans and their families. Every mile traveled helps shine a light on the sacrifices made by America's heroes.

Follow the flag's journey across America and see where it is now: https://www.nationofpatriots.com/TourStops

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Pennsylvania leg of The Patriot Tour a success. Patriotism, community, and service were on full display.
