Free Comic Book Day at Books Galore Draws Crowds Visitors were able to pick up a free comic book, with selections available for readers of all ages.

Books Galore let us hang out with some other heroes, hedgehogs, star warriors, and GHOST-BUST-ERS out front today!

Free Comic Book Day is still going on until they close at 6pm! Get more free comics for being a member, wearing in a cool cosplay outfit, or donating to the Second Harvest Food Bank. There may still be some flyers for ComiCon Erie we left there with coupons toward our upcoming 3D scanning booth👀👀

Every comic fan’s favorite day of the year is coming up in two weeks! Books Galore will have free comics for every person that comes through our doors on May 2nd! Wear a costume, and you’ll get an another free comic. Donate money/non-perishable goods for the 2nd Harvest Foodbank and you can get another free comic. And if you’re a comic club member you can get another free comic! That’s up to four free comics per person! Plus, some of our deepest discounts all year!

May 2nd, this SATURDAY, is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!! No jester!

We'll be showing up at Books Galore in full cosplay get-up to support them, the Second Harvest Food Bank, and promote this year's ComiCon Erie! If you see us there, give us a honk or hello and we may have some coupons on hand for commissioned projects, from cosplay wearables and accessories to minifigs and figurine models!

Superman Day 2026 is this Saturday, April 18th! Books Galore will have free Superman & Supergirl comics to give out, along with discounts on all Superman related comics & graphic novels! We’ll be open 11-6!

Silk was a longtime customer of Books Galore. He came from one of the city’s most prominent art families. Silk was a true Erie character; we will miss him.
