It’s National Hydration Day! We surprised the football team with some flavored water as a refreshment after their practice!

Today we hosted our annual Team Member Picnic! Our team enjoyed good food, games, an auction, and more!

It's National Go Fishing Day! We're throwing it back to the opportunity we had last summer to host Parkhurst Dining's annual Chef and Catering Connect! Our guests were treated to a fishing charter aboard The Edward John, where they had the opportunity to fish in Lake Erie and catch plenty of perch! We look forward to the opportunity to host more events like this in the future!

Today is Fresh Veggies Day! We're looking at some health benefits of including vegetables in your daily fuel. Vegetables are full of vitamins and other essential elements that provide important health benefits. Vegetables have been found to improve digestive health, lower blood pressure, lower the risk of heart disease, and help with blood sugar management. So, make sure to eat your vegetables!

On Friday, some of our supervisors took the ServSafe Manager Certification course. ServSafe certifications expire after a certain number of years, and some of our supervisors are taking the class to recertify, while others are taking it for the first time! We are so proud of our supervisors and the hard work they put in to take the course and study for the exam. We appreciate all of you and your dedication!

On Thursday, we hosted our annual ServSafe Food Handler Course. Our team members take a class proctored by our Director of 501, Mike, and Sous Chef at 501, Morgan. Upon successful completion of the class, our team members earn their Food Handler certificate and have that certificate displayed in the dining area where they work.

Help us congratulate Crystal on her new position as Catering Supervisor! And, (if you haven't already) welcome her back to the MU Dining team! Congratulations, Crystal, we can't wait to see the great things you will accomplish!
