5-30-2026 Star Speedway Race Report

The day started out just like every other day, with me questioning my decisions 🙃
While loading the truck up on the pouring rain 🌧

But once we got to the Track and unloaded the Sun came out and the clouds Moved on out !!!

We started P4 in the Heat race and finished in P6.

Which set us up for a P5 starting spot in the first feature.
Somewhere around lap 5 I got shipped into the infield and was trying to stay out of trouble in the back of the pack when there was a stack up coming out of 4 with the Sun hitting us in the face. I unfortunately had nowhere to go and clipped the car in front of me which ended our race .....

After looking over the car I could see that s**t was bent but still in tact so I decided to put a wheel on her and go out and Start the second feature and park it.

Well it felt too good to just park it, so I drove around the rear and finished the 20 laps and even passed a car on the last lap 🙃

That's racing 🏁 Time to see what we need and start ordering parts to be ready for next weekend!!!

Star Speedway May 23, 2026

We continued to struggle with brake issues.
After first practice we tried bleeding the brakes and the shaft from pedal to master cylinder snapped.

We were able to find what we needed for parts in the pits and removed and replaced then re-bled the brakes in time for the Feature.

We ended up starting tail in 17th place and managed a 7th place finish for the day.

All and All it was a pretty good day !!! The engine stayed cool and we managed to stay out of the carnage.

Tonight, the Izzett Late Models take center stage with their second race of the season, set for 50 laps, alongside the MLM Crown Vic 40, Pro 4 Modifieds, MLM Pure Stocks & Bumpy's Slingshots.

Grandstands open 3PM. Race time 👉 5PM

Now that we've finally got caught up with sleep, here's a litter Recap of this past weekend.

With the help of Bossman Shane Gendron we got the car square and threw some new springs at her and got my weight bias corrected.

Saturday was Beautiful!!!! We started the day pulling the #2 Chip .
We were fighting small issues all day but was able to have a decent 7th place finish.

We then went back to Tyngsboro to Shane's and worked until 2:30 am swapping out a master cylinder and bleeding the brakes.

Quick shower and nap and I was up and headed back to Tyngsboro to finish up a few more things before we could load up and head to Hudson Speedway .

After missing 2 practice rounds we were finally ready to hit the track and see if we got everything squared away . Thanks John Esburnett for giving me some track time to shake her down.

We had a Awesome day unfortunately we were unable to finish the race due to rising temps.

Although the results don't really reflect, the car was the absolute Best it's ever felt !!!! It's actually starting to handle like a race car should !!!!

We also had some visitors Sunday Justin Thomas brought his Son Emmit for the first time and well that smile says it all !!!!!
I think I have them coming Monday for the thrill show after walking them down into the infield and showing them the jump and cars waiting to get destroyed!!!!

I can't thank everyone in my corner enough for everything!!!!! From My wife to my My buddy Joe who meets me at the track every week. And everyone else who has thier part in this journey THANK YOU !!!!!!

I always knew it wasn't going to be easy and I've been willing to do the work !!!!! It's all coming together and isn't going anywhere but up to the front count on that !!!!!!

We were burning the midnight oil tonight swapping out a Brake master cylinder.
Now to take a Nap and head back in the morning to finish up and head to Hudson Speedway !!!!!

The rain front has moved through and it's going to be a beautiful weekend for some !!!

We may have the week off from Racing but that doesn't mean that the work stops !!!! Getting some needed attention to the front end.

Next weekend we're planning on a double header !!!
Starting with Star Speedway on Saturday then onto Hudson Speedway Sunday for the first race of a 3 race series they're having for the Ridgerunner and Slingshot Division.

So come on out and Support your local short tracks !!!

2026 Season Opener Recap

We finally were able to get our season kicked off today after being rained out yesterday.

Happy to report that we made it through the 25 lap feature without incident. It was also nice to pickup right where we left off last season !!!

So grateful for everyone in my corner who makes this all possible!!! You are all amazing !!!! Thank you for allowing me to fulfill this lifelong dream !!!

This is going to be a Fun season, I can feel it !!!!!
