A little something we finished today A 28 tall Ahren fire And she drafts well
With the snow storm pending we encourage everyone to check the vents to their heating sources and make sure they are clear and stay clear. Keep a drip- going in a sink or a tub some where to help against freezing pipes. Know where your water shut off is in your house just in case. Make sure you have plenty of oil and or propane and what ever you heat with.
Direct vents can easily get covered and frozen over in this weather and they must be check regularly. Our office will reopen on Tuesday at some point depending if we can get in to our offices. If you need to reach us the best way during this storm will be email [email protected]
Stay warm and stay safe

This job was a labor of love. We tore this chimney down to the floor and started back up The dutch oven suppisingly was in superb shape and functional so we left it and relined to it. The home was originally a 1780's home that some company tore out the chimneys and rebuilt them and soild filled them with brick stone and what ever else he found. We took out over 10 tons of material. We rebuilt these fireplaces and we built in period "Rumfod" fireplaces with stainless steel liners and Lock top dampers. brick count was a little over 4000 brick and the fireboxes were total a little over 400 we installed a cook arm in the big one that is four foot by four foot and the others are just shy of 3 feet tall and three feet wide. All have narrow throats and rounded breasts. Homeowner is tickled to have these back to period fireplaces. We are awaiting a full size cap to go over the top of the chimney
Want to congratulate Jesse Interrante and Trevor Cairns for passing the CCP for Jesse and passing the CCR this past week.

This fireplace was too shallow for any insert so I suggested to build a new facial wall with a stone mantle so all will fit. This was a unusable fireplace before this work. This work is truly a labor of love. Merry Christmas all
