For Connie, the front steps had become a daily source of worry.
After years of severe arthritis in her knees, lower back, and neck, going in and out of her home safely was becoming more difficult. Thanks to Centerline Framing, Connie now has a sturdy new handrail by her front steps, giving her the support she needs to move with greater confidence.
A simple modification can make a life-changing difference. This new railing means more safety, less fear, and greater independence at home.
Thank you, Centerline Framing, for helping build independence and elevate lives for neighbors like Connie.

After a frightening fall, one 85-year-old client could no longer safely access the upstairs shower. Her sons had to carry her up two flights of stairs each week just to bathe.
Thanks to HBF supporters and partners, her downstairs bathroom was expanded into an accessible space she can now use safely with her walker. Your support turns obstacles into open doors.

After a serious fall left Carol with a broken hip and multiple fractures, her medical team made one thing clear: she needed a wheelchair ramp.
Carol uses oxygen 24 hours a day and is living with dementia. With steps at her front door, leaving home safely for doctor appointments—or in an emergency—was no longer possible.
Thanks to the team at RioGrande Co. Carol now has a safe, accessible ramp that helps restore mobility, dignity, and peace of mind for her and her family.
This is what Blitz Build is all about: coming together quickly to remove barriers and build independence when it’s needed most.

Before HBF installed safety railings on her front porch and steps, Carlene had fallen several times navigating the stairs to her home. Living with Post Guillain-Barré Syndrome, she faces an increased risk of falls. Today, the railings provide the support she needs to safely enter and leave her home independently.
