AI is GARBAGE Screen Printing / TOMORROW MAY 1 / 3-4pm / Please Share
In support of I created a T-shirt design to protest AI in art and how companies are shoving AI down our throats. And where you might say, oh what I’m doing is harmless - all together it’s sucking up natural resources, creating an easy button that no longer requires knowledge, and fooling people into thinking they are creative.
So stop by Ink Lounge tomorrow (Friday May 1) and bring a T-Shirt(s) and/or choose a FREE blank shirt at the event: Limit 1 free shirt per person while supplies last. You can bring additional shirts but will request you hop back in line to allow others the chance to print their first item.

Good Ink / Rainbow Park Palooza / May 9
Ink Lounge donated studio resources and provided shirts at cost to help support lead a group to screen print volunteer shirts for Rainbow Park Palooza! A collaboration between Rainbow Dome, Friends & Lovers and Sapphic Social Club with an afternoon of nostalgic field day games and friendly competition. Celebrate meeting new people and building community, while raising funds for Rainbow Dome’s future space. Twelve teams of four will compete in a series of games that whittle down to a winning team. Staged as a spectator event, the public is invited to cheer on and watch the games unfold. Accompanying the games is a resource & vendor fair, live DJ and MC, drag time story hour for kids and families, pay-to-play interactive carnival games, and food trucks.

VOLUME / $43.8K / FINAL
A final thanks to the 50 artists, the Community Partners, the event Volunteers, the anonymous donor who matched every donation, and the 780+ individuals who donated directly to 40+ Colorado Nonprofits to support this vision.
Together we raised $43.8K – that’s proof on paper that VOLUME was a success. And the intangible part - the exhibit gave 50 local Artists an opportunity to use their art - to amplify the work of 40+ Colorado Nonprofits and educate a new audience about the community work they do - and create connections past the exhibit.
The name VOLUME was also intentional as not only was it about the scale and scope of the exhibit - I was optimist, that if it was successful, moving ahead this exhibit will be known as VOLUME One, the beginning of an annual exhibition that allows me to use my resources to support the community.
If we all do something extra ordinary – together we become extraordinary.

Good Ink / Mrs. Kirkwood’s Kindergarten Field Trip
You might remember Beau from a few posts ago where he volunteered to help out on the Saturday that his design from the VOLUME exhibit was one of the options to screen print. He reached out to ask about getting a small batch shirts screen printed with a design he did for his kids upcoming field trip.
99.9% of the time I refer projects like this to other printers, but since he supported VOLUME so much I found a solution that worked for both of us. In exchange for a $100 donation to one of the VOLUME nonprofits, I got everything setup so he could screen print himself with only minor assistance. Shirts came out great with a shiny metallic purple!

Summer Screen Print Workshops
Had a fun private workshop last weekend with Joey and Amelia who wanted to learn about screen printing, so I added in some new workshop dates that you can sign up to take a workshop yourself. It’s a good overview and you get to use your own design to learn the process. Focus will actually be on fabric but 80% of what you learn will apply to paper.
