They transitioned. Then they detransitioned. But what comes next?

On April 19th, our parent organization Partners For Ethical Care hosted an event featuring 12 detransitioners.

Each story is different. Each voice is unique. But they all came together to speak about the harms of gender medicine, moving forward, and what they hope for society and the future.

Rilee, 21, says a gender clinic doctor prescribed her testosterone on the first visit, ignoring her autism, major depression, and trauma history. She has now detransitioned and is speaking out about the harms of gender-affirming care.

Why do clinicians rush to prescribe these powerful, irreversible hormones to the most vulnerable?

Rilee, a 21-year-old detransitioned woman, shares how accompanying her trans-identified ex to a gender clinic influenced her to eventually identify as a man and start testosterone herself.

"I ended up fooling myself into believing [he] was a woman... All the mood swings, him verbally abusing me and using my body... That's okay. That's fine. Because his soul is a woman. His soul is female."

Detransitioner Rilee, 21, shares how she met her trans-identified ex — who introduced her to gender ideology — on a le***an dating app.
