North Coast Toastmasters

This week’s meeting theme was one of our favorites to dive into together… extended table topics!

Which basically means everyone did a mini 2-3 minute impromptu speech on a question related to our theme of “Living On Purpose” ✨

One of our newest members won 2 (almost 3!) awards for his creativity and improvement. Always fun to get up here together as the “winners” of the week and snap a photo to commemorate.

If you’re interested in sharpening your public speaking skills this year, we’d love for you to join us! We meet every Wednesday morning at 7:30 AM. Location is tagged!

It’s a fun way to bring some healthy competition into our meetings and celebrate people from the extra effort and skill they bring forward.

We are skipping next week due to the Thanksgiving holiday, but will be back for regular Wednesday meetings on Wednesday, December 3rd! Come drop in to get a taste of this experience. 🎤🤍

Today’s meeting was such a treat for us — we had a group of high school students visit us all the way from Arizona with their public speaking teacher! The energy in the room was inspiring, enthusiastic, authentic, and passionate. It was really fun to have some of these high schoolers share their voices with us as well and even hop into one of our meeting roles!

Grateful for opportunities like this that bring a sense of inspiration and connection into our week — reminding us of why we keep showing up and how important these skills of communicating and speaking are that we are cultivating.

Next week (Wednesday, October 29th) we are having an Open House! 7:30 - 9:00 AM in Cardiff/Encinitas. There will be coffee ☕️ and breakfast food items 🥞 to enjoy. And you don’t have to speak, you can simply come and observe the flow of our meetings. ✨ DM us here if you want to join — the more the merrier.

We are having a fall OPEN HOUSE at the end of this month and want to invite you to come join us!

We come to practice in a safe and supportive space. Each of us in our unique way, we’re here to serve and share what we’re passionate about.

Please feel comfortable and know you’ll be welcomed. We all began at Toastmasters with a pocket full of fears and awkwardness.

Meetings are every Wednesday at 7:30am till 9am.

Well this meeting took a lively turn! Sue Sherry, our Table Topics Master, provided a fun prompt for each of us to respond to in a written form. Then, we were each called on randomly to read the responses but not our own! We sure did laugh a lot guessing who the writer was. We do have fun!
