High-Velocity, Low-Amplitude (HVLA) cervical traction, or manipulation, is a manual therapy technique used to gently separate neck vertebrae. By opening the foraminal spaces where nerves exit, it relieves compression and reduces radiating arm pain caused by cervical radiculopathy. HVLA should only be performed by licensed and highly trained practitioners that have already completed a full neurological and orthopedic exam to rule out severe conditions like spinal/ligament instability and laxity like ehlers danlos syndrome or recent fractures etc.

⚑️ Pain, tingling, or discomfort traveling from your neck into your shoulder or arm?

In some cases, the problem isn't just tight muscles, it may be irritation or compression affecting the nerves as they exit the neck.

The goal of this procedure? πŸ‘‡

βœ”οΈ Improve neck mobility
βœ”οΈ Reduce joint restriction
βœ”οΈ Decrease nerve irritation
βœ”οΈ Help relieve radiating symptoms into the shoulder and arm or even down into the legs from low back pain/sciatica
βœ”οΈ Restore more comfortable movement in order to be able to do your PT exercises more effectively (kind of hard to recruit muscles that are not getting good nerve supply.

Again this technique isn't appropriate for everyone. A thorough examination is always performed first to determine whether a patient is a good candidate and to rule out any conditions that may require a different approach. With that said, majority of people REALLY enjoy this natural DMT journey into the soul this adjustment can offer.

β›³ Want to unlock a smoother and more powerful golf swing? Start with your thoracic spine.

Many golfers spend hours working on their swing mechanics, but overlook one of the most important pieces of the puzzle: thoracic mobility.

Your thoracic spine (mid-back) plays a major role in rotation during the golf swing. When mobility is limited, it can affect your ability to:

πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ Rotate efficiently
πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ Generate power
πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ Maintain consistency
πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ Reduce unnecessary stress on other areas of the body

That's where this exercise comes in. πŸ‘‡

This simple thoracic mobility drill is designed to help improve rotation through the mid-back, allowing for a smoother, more efficient swing.

The goal isn't just to swing harderβ€”it's to move better.

Better mobility often leads to better mechanics, improved performance, and less wear and tear on the body over time. πŸ™Œ

Give this exercise a try and let us know how it feels!

πŸ“© Want to know what's really holding back your golf swing? Send us a DM with the word "GOLF" and let's find out.

πŸ‘ƒπŸŽˆ What is the Nasal Specific Technique?

This unique procedure uses a small balloon catheter that is briefly inflated within the nasal passages. The goal is to stimulate and mobilize structures within the nose and surrounding areas that can influence breathing, sinus function, cranial motion, and nervous system regulation especially as it relates to chronic neck pain, headaches and persistent concussion symptoms like brain fog, light and sound sensitivity.

While the procedure only takes a few seconds, some patients notice significant changes afterward.

In this case, this patient reported feeling 90% better following the treatment. πŸ™Œ

One of the reasons we use techniques like this is because symptoms aren't always coming from where we think they are. When normal function is restored, the body often has a greater ability to adapt, regulate, and heal.

πŸ“© Curious about the Nasal Specific Technique or wondering if it could be part of your care plan? Send us a DM and we'd be happy to answer your questions.

⚑️ That shoulder pain might actually be coming from your neck.

Many people assume shoulder pain starts in the shoulder itself, but sometimes the real source is higher up. When joints, muscles, or nerves in the neck become irritated, pain can travel into the shoulder and create symptoms that feel like a shoulder problem.

This patient came in only complaining of shoulder blade pain NOT neck pain. However, after a full neuro-mechanical work up we quickly realized what most other doctors and therapists miss...neck nerves radiating pain into the shoulder blade....Fix the neck and you fix the shoulder.

So what does treatment look like? πŸ‘€

This video takes you through the different therapies and techniques we used during the session to:
βœ”οΈ Improve neck mobility
βœ”οΈ Reduce tension and irritation
βœ”οΈ Restore healthy movement patterns
βœ”οΈ Support proper nerve function
βœ”οΈ Help address the source of the pain

The goal isn't just to make the symptoms quieter, it's to find out why they're happening in the first place.

When the body moves better, it often feels better too. πŸ™Œ

If you've been dealing with neck pain, shoulder pain, or pain that seems to travel from one area to another, don't ignore it.

πŸ“© Send us a DM with the word "RELIEF" and let's see if we can help you get back to moving comfortably again.

πŸ₯ Repetitive strain was taking a toll on this musician's arm.

This percussionist came in dealing with arm pain from the repetitive demands of playing. Whether you're performing, practicing, or teaching, those repeated movements can add up over time and start affecting both performance and everyday life.

After evaluating the area, we used SoftWave Therapy to target the irritated tissues and stimulate the body's natural healing response. ⚑️

The goal:
βœ”οΈ Reduce inflammation
βœ”οΈ Improve circulation
βœ”οΈ Support tissue healing
βœ”οΈ Decrease pain
βœ”οΈ Help him get back to doing what he loves

And the result? πŸ‘€

By the end of the session, he reported feeling 90% better. πŸ™Œ

For musicians, athletes, and anyone who relies on their body day in and day out, addressing pain early can make all the difference.

You don't have to wait until the discomfort becomes a bigger problem.

⛳️ Every swing was starting to come with pain.

This patient came in dealing with ongoing elbow pain caused by years of overuse from golf and repetitive strain. After previously dealing with a tear and surgery on his other arm, he came in wanting to stay ahead of the pain before things got worse.

Like a lot of athletes, he tried taking time off and resting it…but every time he returned to playing, the discomfort came right back.

That’s because rest alone doesn’t always address WHY the problem is happening in the first place. πŸ‘‡

This video is a full behind-the-scenes look at the different treatments and recovery techniques we used throughout his session to:
βœ”οΈ Reduce irritation and inflammation
βœ”οΈ Improve mobility and movement
βœ”οΈ Decrease tension through the forearm and elbow
βœ”οΈ Support healing and recovery
βœ”οΈ Help him return to golf without pain

And the best part? πŸ™Œ

By the end of the session, he was pain free.

Overuse injuries don’t usually happen overnight - and they rarely disappear overnight either. The key is addressing the stress, movement patterns, and tissue irritation before they turn into long-term limitations.

Whether you’re a golfer, athlete, or someone dealing with repetitive strain from daily life, your body deserves more than β€œjust rest.”

πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ For swimmers, healthy shoulders aren’t optional - they’re everything.

When you spend hours in the pool repeating the same overhead motion, even small restrictions or imbalances can turn into major irritation over time. For swimmers, the shoulders take on a massive workload - and eventually the body starts asking for help.

This athlete came in dealing with shoulder pain, tightness, and restricted movement that was affecting both performance and recovery.

So what does a full treatment session actually look like? πŸ‘€

This video is a behind-the-scenes look at the different therapies and techniques we used throughout his session to:
βœ”οΈ Reduce irritation and inflammation
βœ”οΈ Improve shoulder mobility
βœ”οΈ Restore proper movement patterns
βœ”οΈ Relieve tension and tightness
βœ”οΈ Help him get back to training with less pain

Recovery isn’t just about β€œfeeling better” for a day β€” it’s about helping the body move the way it’s supposed to so athletes can continue doing what they love at a high level.

Whether you’re a swimmer, lifter, runner, or weekend warrior, pain is often your body’s way of telling you something needs attention. 🌊

Don’t wait until it sidelines you. πŸ›‘
