Truth bomb 💥 if it matters to you- you will make it happen, if it doesn’t you’ll make an excuse. Am I right?! If we don’t create space for our health, we will soon be forced to create space for disease. Invest with in your well-being - 11-1:30 tomorrow while we unpack and correct chronic pain.

4/30 from 11-1:30p I will be leading a workshop on pain specifically for the low back and neck but not limited to. Honestly, many of us who have done yoga for a long time still have issues with chronic or even acute pain and a lot of times even right after we practice yoga which should have the opposite effect. There is a lot to it and we will unpack and unlearn some habits that may be triggering pain. We will go through a specific (and short) pain meditation before and after to help you examine your physical state more closely. We will move and practice with precision in order to retrain certain muscle groups and joints how to move better -> and by better I mean in a way that will improve your well being the next day and for decades too come. Too many people are dealing with areas of chronic pain- almost everyone I know has a pain in the ass or a pain in the neck and if you’re Iike me, maybe have had both. There is also a reason for that! However I have literally learned how to turn mine off through the techniques I’m going to go over in depth on the 30th of this month. Please share this with anyone you know who is having issues with pain. Workshop is $60 which is cheaper than a private with me and twice the length. For my private clients, I’m urging them to go too bc again- there is a lot to it. I hope to see there bc seriously F:(K chronic pain- it’s the worst.

It’s posts like this that make sad to see the close of . Thank you Gather Encinitas for not requiring pretentious or contrived spirituality - and worst of all toxic positivity.
Yoga is the study and realization of the authentic self- all the shades. It’s how yoga heals us.
In culture and society, most of us grew up being forced to do things we didn’t want to do- sit at a desk for 12 years straight 5 days a week then only to graduate to more desk sitting potentially while normally making other people the larger sum of money while you work the larger sum of hours and effort. All for a sense of security that maybe isn’t ever really even there. Some of us never able to afford the food we really want to eat, clothes we want to wear or vacations we want to take then only to hear lifestyle choices are the leading cause of death. But you’re also supposed to be happy, not stressed, give hugs and smile as much as humanely possible.
That’s bu****it folks and if you suffer from chronic pain emotional stuffing like the kind mentioned above can be a cause and a trigger. However, it doesn’t mean also walking around being miserable all the time either. The root is first acceptance that s**t isn’t perfect and potentially feeling your feelings if you’re brave.
There’s a lot more too it- I’m not trying to diminish anything, but Gather was the first space I taught yoga in that encouraged teachers to be themselves. There was no spiritual indoctrination to subscribe to in order to feel included- all parts of yourself were welcome and encouraged. So thank you for that Lauren and Co., I think I found myself in the process and value deeply the creative freedom it cultivated. Whether you do a lot of yoga or not- if you deal with chronic pain - this is designed for you. Cheaper than a private and a lot more info and physical insight curated to help and create relief for you.
There’s a lot to it- pain is one of the most difficult issues to correct so a multi-layered approach is necessary.
Let me help. It is possible. I deal with it too and I’ve done a lot inside and outside of yoga to shift it. You can to it.
