It took her just over 2 weeks to complete it!

She chose and ordered the artwork herself, bought the frames and has spent most of her free time working on this.

You can’t tell in a picture, but it is very sparkly in person!

She is currently working on a pair of lovebirds for her next creation!

As many of you already know, we have a plethora of barn swallows that make nests on our big porch and have their babies and eat tons of bugs each spring. Then leave to go south and return with their babies next year to do it all over again. I think we are up to 8 or 9 nests now! Anyway, these 2 had apparently gotten their legs wrapped together in part of the nest material right after hatching. When we found them this morning, one hanging out of the nest by its leg, they had both the tangled legs wrapped so tightly for so long that one’s foot is completely detached now and the other is non-useable. So they are now apart but have only one good leg each! What do we do with them now? There are no wildlife rehabilitation centers near us. 🥺
