Update 17:50: it looks like we are in the clear for now.

Update: Emory, TX Police Department has opened the storm shelter.

As this unexpected weather moves through our area, we are actively monitoring the storm and its development. We are currently under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 4:45 PM.

We apologize for the delayed post and appreciate your patience. Our department will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as the storm progresses through the county.

Please stay weather-aware, have a plan in place, and seek shelter immediately if warnings are issued for your area.
