Chicago Communications has been solving communication problems since 1953. A lot has changed. Our commitment to our customers hasn't.
Last year, ChiComm became part of CSE Crosscom, a global leader in mission-critical communications and security solutions. Together, we're now recognized as a Motorola Solutions Platinum Channel Partner and Platinum Service Partner, the highest level of recognition Motorola gives for technical expertise and service quality.
The distinction means the team you already trust now has national and global resources behind them. It means broader solution capabilities across voice, video, data, and security. And it means the same people who have been showing up for you in the Midwest for over 70 years are now better equipped than ever to serve you.
Same brand. Same faces. Same promise to service what we sell and answer the phone when you need us.

Data centers protect critical infrastructure. The one thing missing? First responder radio coverage.
Recently Published | ERRCS for Data Centers: Meet Code and Avoid Costly Violations.
When first responders walk into your facility during a fire, a cooling failure, or a hazardous materials event, their radios need to work. Missing in-building radio coverage means a denied certificate of occupancy, costly project delays, and hefty fines.
Clear, amplified coverage in even the most challenging environments is possible. Read now to find out how. 👇

Quick question for IT managers and facility teams: Is your building up to the first responder radio code?
Most people assume strong Wi-Fi or LTE coverage means their building is covered in an emergency. It doesn't.
Here's what meets the first responder radio code:
The NFPA standard mandates that first responders, such as firefighters, police, and EMTs, maintain reliable radio contact throughout your building during an emergency.
Spots most people forget include stairwells, parking garages, basements, and elevator shafts.
LTE and Wi-Fi can't meet that requirement. A properly engineered DAS (Distributed Antenna System) and BDA (Bi-Directional Amplifier) can.
The difference matters because a gap in first-responder coverage isn't a connectivity inconvenience. It's a life-safety issue. Many jurisdictions won't issue a certificate of occupancy until this requirement is met.
If you're not sure whether your building is compliant, it's worth finding out before an inspection does.
Chicago Communications has designed over 1,000 DAS solutions across the Midwest. We'll help you figure out exactly what you need.

Chicago Communications is proud to support the Wilmette Police Department in upgrading its communications infrastructure to help it stay connected and keep the community safe.
This video captures the removal of a 55+ year old monopole. A big step in modernizing infrastructure, making room for new public safety radio systems to improve coverage and system resilience. By removing aging infrastructure, we are lowering the risk of future failures and maintenance issues.
This project shows our dedication to helping public safety teams strengthen and improve their networks.

Happy guests leave great reviews. Repeat guests build your business. Both start with a team that communicates seamlessly behind the scenes.
A late room turnover. A VIP request that fell through the cracks. A maintenance issue that nobody radioed in fast enough. None of these are disasters on their own. But every one of them shows up in guest satisfaction, and eventually, in your reviews.
The difference between a five-star stay and a frustrating one often comes down to how well your staff communicates behind the scenes.
Here's what seamless communication looks like:
✅ Housekeeping radios the front desk the moment a room is ready, so the next guest checks in without waiting
✅ A VIP arrival triggers instant coordination across housekeeping, maintenance, and room service before the guest reaches the elevator
✅ Security handles a sensitive situation discreetly, without disrupting other guests
Chicago Communications helps hotels and resorts build communication systems that keep every department connected and every guest experience on track. Radios, wireless networks, surveillance, and the service to back it all up.

Chicago Communications technicians recently received hands-on training on the American Messaging paging system. The training covered how proper satellite dish alignment enables the site to sync with GPS and bring the transmitter online, allowing pages to be broadcast to users on the correct frequency within the coverage area.
These systems are commonly used in critical environments, primarily hospitals, where fast and dependable message delivery is essential.
The Illinois paging network includes approximately 125 sites, and this training prepares our technicians to maintain and support the infrastructure that keeps those services operating reliably across different locations.
By continuing to participate in hands-on technical training, we are working to ensure that our team is ready to support the communication systems our customers depend on.
