Elmhurst Rotaract Club

Thank you to everyone who came to the parade this morning to honor those who lost their lives serving our country. So glad to see Elmhurst recognizing service members and all that they sacrifice with this parade every Memorial Day. Another thank you to Mr. Troost for allowing us to ride in his cars again this year; it is always a treat. Happy Memorial Day!

Today’s picnic was a success! Thank you to everyone for attending and for bringing food for the potluck. This was our first but certainly not our last picnic! 🧺💐

A huge thank you to for allowing our club to decorate the display case for the month of January! We are so grateful for the opportunity to draw more attention to our group. As a club, we are always trying to bring attention to the importance of volunteer work. It’s so important for us as students and young people to use some of the free time we have to help those in need and serve the community in any way we can. We are always recruiting new members so check out our interest form on our website to attend a virtual meeting!

Part 2 of Elmhurst Rotaract’s holiday service events! Our Rotaractors joined several local musicians for caroling at another retirement community in Elmhurst. So glad our members were able to spread some holiday cheer to members of our community!

Our club members got together for our annual card making event at the EPL! We made about 30 holiday cards for a local assisted living center. Happy Holidays from the Elmhurst Rotaract Club! ❄️

Check out our latest drive at the Elmhurst Public Library! The box was just put in the lobby today to collect full-sized toiletries for PADS and it will be up through October 30th. Thanks to everyone who donates!

Interested in volunteering or getting service hours? Then Elmhurst Rotaract Club is the place for you! Whether you you go to school in Elmhurst/the neighboring towns or you live here during breaks but go to school elsewhere, our club is open you to. We have a great mix of virtual meetings and in-person volunteering events that make the club accessible to anyone and everyone that calls Elmhurst home in one way or another. Elm Rotaract’s second Tech Day was with Green Castle! Our two club members Abbey, our president, and Brenton, our Technology Director, had the opportunity to speak with and help several residents.

The Rotaract Club completed the first of a series of “Tech Days”, designed to help residents of various senior living communities solve technology-related problems by working one on one with Rotaract club members. We all had a great time meeting and helping Park Place residents, and look forward to going back regularly!

Thank you so much to everyone who donated to our drive and to the Walgreens on Robert Palmer Drive for allowing us to put our donation box at the front of their store!!
