Bethany First Steps Childcare Center is seeking one Full Time Preschool Teacher. Bethany First Steps is a small Christian center located in Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn. Our focus is to provide high quality care and provide a strong Christian background to the children and families we serve. Each of our classrooms have no more than 10 children per room in order for you to spend quality time with each child and provide educational and engaging activities for them. We have a small team of great teachers who create a positive work environment.

Main duties of Preschool Teacher include caring for 4-6 year olds, creating educational lesson plans, preparing children for kindergarten, communicating with parents about their child's day and having fun! Must be available Monday-Friday and be able to pass a background check. No nights or weekends!

Bethany First Steps will promote the use of interest areas in the classroom for music and movement, manipulatives, math, science, dramatic play, writing and art as a way of providing experiences that promote Physical, Social/Emotional, Cognitive and Language skill development. Children also participate in Bible time each week where they will learn about God’s love for them, sing praise songs and learn more about the Bible.

Bethany First Steps is a small Christian center located in Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn. Our focus is to provide high quality care and provide a strong Christian background to the children and families we serve. Each of our classrooms have no more than 10 children per room in order for you to spend quality time with each child and provide educational and engaging activities for them. We have a small team of great teachers who create a positive work environment.

Main duties of Floater include providing support for the younger aged classrooms, stepping into classrooms as needed and during lunch breaks, closing in our Toddler Room or Preschool Room, communicating with parents about their child's day. Must be flexible and able to move between a variety of age levels. Must be available Monday-Friday 9:00-6:00,must be at least 19 years of age and be able to pass a background check. No nights or weekends!

Bethany First Steps Childcare Center is seeking one Sub/Floater to help cover when our current staff is out.

Bethany First Steps is a small Christian center located in Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn. Our focus is to provide high quality care and provide a strong Christian background to the children and families we serve. Each of our classrooms have no more than 10 children per room in order for you to spend quality time with each child and provide educational and engaging activities for them. We have a small team of great teachers who create a positive work environment.

Main duties of Sub/Floater include providing support when a staff member is out of their classrooms, stepping into classrooms as needed and during lunch breaks, closing in the evenings if needed, communicate well with parents about their child's day and in a professional manner.

This individual....... Must be able to wear a mask while in the classroom with the children. Must be able to work well with others. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs, Must be able to get up and down from the floor easily. Must have reliable transportation. Must be flexible and able to move between a variety of age levels. Hours per week will vary. Some weeks may be 40 hour work weeks and some may be as little as 5 or less. Must be available Monday-Friday 6:30-6:00, must be willing to work last minute if needed at times, must be at least 19 years of age and be able to pass a background check. No nights or weekends!

Bethany First Steps child care in Elkhorn is looking for a full-time cook. The hours would be 7:00-2:00 most days.

Some duties would include:

Preparing breakfast, lunch and a snack for about 40-45 kids, doing dishes, making a menu monthly, placing grocery order weekly, documenting and recording food and fridge temps and more. You must be able to be on your feet for at least 6-8 hours, lift, bend and carry items up to 20lbs. You must be able to pass the necessary background checks, must be able to complete the necessary training required by State. You must be able to wear a mask when around others. Gloves must be worn while preparing food, hair must be pulled back and closed toes shoes must be worn.

We are looking for someone that has experience working in a kitchen and cooking for multiple people.
