Dead Fish Custom Baits

It has been a hot minute since I have posted any baits. Work and chores keep me way to busy.

Scales are the hardest part.

Another 7" glide finished up recently. These things have deadly action.

Almost ready for testing.

7" Glide slow sink 2.4 oz. With swivel hook hangers to help keep the big girls from coming unbuttoned.

After 2 days Im sold on swimbait fishing, these baits have a natural swimming action that fishi can not resist.
We had 5 or 6 in the boat, lost 2 or 3 and multiple followers. From what I understand it's not common to have that kid of a weekend fishing for stripers using artificial bait.
Colors we caught all our fish on were Skipjack, Rainbow Trout, Gizzard Shad and Red Horse sucker.

Great weekend fishing on the Cumberland River fishing for Striped Bass. The 8" Glide baits are the bait of choice for these fish.

One of the first bait I have ever painted over 6 years ago. This thing is beat up and has caught a lot of fish in the river. Had to retire it due to a broken bill. 😒

DFCB baits catching them in Southern Michigan and all the way down to Kentucky/ Tennessee area.

Steve lives along the Kentucky and Tennessee boarder and is an avid fisherman and guide in that area. He came to me a little over a year ago looking for an 8 to 9-inch slow sinking glide bait that resembled a Skip-jack. I sent him photographs of glide bait blanks that were available in that size and he decided on an 8” slow sinking trout glide bait.
After receiving his original order of 2 or 3 baits he discovered that these baits had an incredible swimming action that would draw big stripers out of hiding and destroy this bait. Since then he has lost the baits to big Stripers and had to order more.
