Engine still there? Good! But a “check engine” light MIGHT mean more than that! In fact there are more than a dozen reasons why these lights can come on – from oxygen sensor malfunction to catalytic converter trouble to a bad battery to a loose gas cap. Like to drive with a heavy foot? Zoom zoom to Texas, which has the highest average posted speed limit for all roads, at 78 mph - 2 mph faster than Idaho, the next closest/fastest state. On the slooow end are Alaska and Washington D.C., with an average top speed limit of 55 mph.

Car care tip: Always topping off your gas tank at the pump? It may not be a good idea and here is why. First, once the pump senses your tank is full and automatically shuts off, the fuel is likely being diverted back down the nozzle's hose through the pump's v***r recovery system and back into the station's tank. That means you are paying for gas that never goes into your tank. Plus, your car's gas tank needs space for fuel v***rs to expand, and overfilling your tank can force gas into your car's carbon filter which can impact engine performance and mileage.
