What a beautiful way to spend the Fourth of July weekend!!! ❤️🤍💙

Over the past two days, we celebrated America’s 250th Anniversary with games in the courtyard, a delicious BBQ, a plethora of festive decor, wonderful conversations, and so many moments that reminded us just how special this community is.

Holidays have a way of bringing people together, but what makes weekends like this truly meaningful isn’t just the food or the festivities, but rather it’s the people. It’s the laughter shared over a game, the stories exchanged around the table, and the simple joy of spending time with one another.

As we celebrate our nation’s past, we’re also grateful for the memories we’re still making together every day here at Bruceville Point. Thank you to everyone who helped make this holiday weekend so special.

Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸✨

Last year, Lindsey Lovett made a promise to herself. Today, she crossed the finish line keeping it.

This morning at the Run 4 Hunger 5K at District 56 in Elk Grove, California, Lindsey walked every step of the 3.1 mile course, proving that determination doesn’t have an expiration date. At 72 years young, she reminded us that some of life’s greatest victories aren’t about being the fastest - they are about showing up, honoring the promises we make to ourselves, and refusing to give up.

We couldn’t be more proud of you, Lindsey. Thank you for inspiring all of us with your resilience, perseverance, and incredible heart. ❤️

☀️🇺🇸 The celebration started before the first bite!! Residents gathered in the Courtyard to enjoy classic lawn games, plenty of laughter, and friendly competition before our America’s 250th Anniversary BBQ (of which photos will be coming soon) 🇺🇸☀️

After years of dedicated service to Bruceville Point, we say a heartfelt farewell to our Harbor Director, Misty. Throughout her time with our community, Misty made a lasting impact through her kindness, leadership, and unwavering commitment to those around her. From supporting our Assisted Living and Independent Living residents to later leading Harbor, she approached every role with compassion and professionalism, ensuring residents, families, and team members alike felt informed, supported, and genuinely cared for. Her calm presence, thoughtful guidance, and dedication to serving others have left a meaningful mark on our community.

To celebrate Misty and all she has meant to Bruceville Point, our team proudly dressed in our favorite rock-inspired attire - a tribute to her love of rock music and the energy and enthusiasm she brought to work each day. While we will certainly miss her, we are excited for all that lies ahead and know she will continue to make a positive difference wherever life takes her. On behalf of everyone at Bruceville Point, we thank you, Misty, for your years of service, friendship, and compassion. We wish you nothing but happiness and success in the next chapter of your journey, and you’ll always have a place in the Bruceville Point family. 🎸🖤🎶

Talk about bringing the house down! While our Cardio Drumming group was keeping the beat with our Fitness Director, Tina, resident Gary couldn’t resist joining the fun with his harmonica during the classic hit “Low Rider” by War. 🎶✨

The result? A one-of-a-kind jam session filled with rhythm, laughter, and plenty of smiles!!

Fun fact: “Low Rider” is also one of Gary’s specialties at karaoke, so you could say he was right in his element!!! 🎤🎵

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Bruceville Point! 💙

At Bruceville Point, we are fortunate to be surrounded by remarkable men whose lives, experiences, and stories enrich our community each and every day. On Friday we gathered together for a special Happy Hour to celebrate not only fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers, but all of the men who have made a difference in the lives of others through their kindness, character, wisdom, and care.

Many have spent a lifetime raising families, serving their communities, building careers, protecting our freedoms, mentoring others, and creating legacies that continue to inspire future generations. Others have become trusted friends, neighbors, and role models whose presence makes Bruceville Point feel even more like home.

Today, we honor the laughter you’ve shared, the lessons you’ve taught, the challenges you’ve overcome, and the countless ways you’ve helped shape the world around you. Thank you for your strength, your stories, your generosity, and the unique gifts each of you brings to our community.

To all of the incredible men of Bruceville Point - and especially to the fathers who have guided generations with love and devotion - we celebrate you and wish you a very Happy Father’s Day. 💙

✨ Susan took center stage at karaoke last week and wowed us with her performance! There’s something special about seeing residents share their talents, confidence, and joy with the community. Thank you, Susan, for reminding us that a great song - and a little courage - can brighten everyone’s day. We loved cheering you on! 🎤🎶 We hope to see all you residents today at karaoke in the Bistro (B) at 3:30pm!!!

Shake It Up! 🥤

A fan favorite on Saturdays in the Bistro (B) at 1:00 PM! Today’s featured shake was… drumroll, please… 🥁

🍓🍌 STRAWBERRY BANANA! 🍓🍌

Residents enjoyed this sweet and refreshing treat while spending time together and sharing plenty of smiles. We can’t wait to see what’s on the menu next week! A special shoutout to our amazing dining team for helping make Shake It Up! possible each week - from remembering to freeze the bananas to tackling the inevitable spills with a smile. You can spot one of our hardworking servers in the background of one of these photos doing just that!
