Yesterday, our UBMS students went on a guided tour at the University of Kentucky as a part of our Summer Academy! They learned about the different academic colleges and undergraduate programs at UK, got an in-person look at dorm rooms, and were introduced to the various resources available to help them succeed in college!

Finals Approach: More Study Tips 🕯️ 📖

• As final season has come back around again, i’ve brought some of my new favorite study tips for you guys to try. (See Below) Enjoy ☀️ ~HF Student Ambassador

1. Outline your exams : I like to break down my exams by categories to help ease some anxiety about surprise questions that could show up. I categorize by the Test Date, the Chapters/Material on the exam, and the Type of Exam. Outlining your goals for the study session or even the day has made all the difference for me. 📚

2. Try the Pomodoro Method : As someone who gets easily distracted mid-study session, I find using time blocking like Pomodoro is very effective. This method utilizes a visual timer with breaks. (My favorite is the 50/10) It helps me stay more motivated and focused to push through large amounts of notes. 📑

3. Body Doubling : Having someone nearby can help motivate me to stay on track and not lose focus. There is an entire genre of YouTube dedicated to studying! Watching these videos and seeing the creator actively working with soft music and a timer displayed is the best. 📚
