Whoa! Has it really been two months since my last post?! 🤦🏼♀️.
Hey, friends! Hope everyone is having a great start to the new year! The last few months I’ve just been slowing down and learning to listen to the voice of the Father and how He wants me to plan and strategize His goals for me in this new year.
2025 felt like I just coasted through the year. Really felt like a chicken with its head cut off 🐔 just running around aimlessly. I’ve not been very good at setting goals lately. Not since my mom’s illness back in 2021. She’s almost been gone now three years. I’ve just not been very focused at all so this year I’m trying to lean in more to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and just focus more on intimacy with Him.
I recently did the tote bag as a birthday present for my stepdaughter. Her birthday was in January but because of the recent winter storm we had, we didn’t get to see her til yesterday. I got this idea of an analog bag from YouTube.
What’s an analog bag? It’s a bag where you fill it up with your favorite creative activities to do that will make you put your phone down and just be creative. I don’t know bout you but I feel the need to do that. More living offline and in the real world and being creative!
The tote is from cricut . I used Cricut infusable ink for the letters. For the illustration I used the print then cut Cricut feature on their printable iron-ons for light fabrics. Love how it looks!
What did I stuff in the bag, you ask? I put in a Lamy Safari fountain pen with black ink and a converter to use with bottled ink. Two adult coloring books with Prismacolor colored pencils and their sharpener. A Leuctturm1917 b6 notebook great for using with fountain pens. And a few Gelly Roll gel pens.
Here’s to slowing down and putting our attention on Him this year!

I know we’re at the end of Christmas but I hope everyone has a had a wonderful day. And if you didn’t, know this l, that hope has a name: Jesus.
“Today in the city of David a Savior was born for you, who is the Messiah, the Lord. ”
Luke 2:11 CSB
Merry Christmas, y’all!! ❤️💚🌟✨

I don’t know how many times I’ve started writing out this post and got distracted. Ahhh!! 🤪
I finished my December bullet journal spread a week ago and now I’m finally posting it! The title page and social media planner were all inspired by wildeyesbujo! I found it on Pinterest. The hand lettered phrase from the Christmas carol is my own design. The manger illustration I also got from Pinterest. 😇 .
Only two weeks away til Christmas and I have yet to begin to shop! My personal goal this season is to be present and love intentionally slow. What that means for me practically is to take the time at 10 pm to pause and be thankful for whatever gifts God graciously gave to me in that day. That also means I need to have my eyes and ears open to anything He wants to show me. I’m not perfect at it. Honestly there are more times that it’s 10:30 or 11 when I put down my crochet work and slow down my day to sit in God’s presence and make room for Him in my life…everyday.
My prayer for you this season, dear friend, is that you also will be open to preparing your heart to make Him room. ✨🌟.

Mushroom and fall leaf doodles. Had so much fun following along with Anna from journal.away on her YouTube channel!! Drawing the Japanese maple leaf was a challenge but I think it turned out good. 🍁 🧡. I think I got a little carried away with the dots. 😂

New November title page in my bullet journal! Inspiration taken from two creators on YouTube. The left side is from Ana Bruns on her channel. Great layout for keeping up with a gratitude list for the month. And the right is from another Anna (spelled differently) on her channel Journal Away. I so enjoyed learning to draw these different mushrooms and leaves using the Tombow brush pens!! 🍄 ❤️ Thank you to both these ladies for sharing their wonderful talent!
