GD submissions close Monday!

Going Dutch is a celebration of female and nonbinary voices in the arts. In 2024, the 14th year of Going Dutch, the project is moving from a short festival to a residency series to give GD artists the resources to build groundbreaking creative work and better connect the talents and voices of GD artists with Elgin area artists and audiences.

Call for performing/interdisciplinary/mixed media/installation/the undefined artists.
Open to female-identifying and nonbinary voices who are:
-looking to create new or build upon existing performance, performance-adjacent, immersive installation, etc. works in a new environment (we are open to all your creative ideas)
-willing to let the public into their process through site visits, Q & As, lecture-demonstrations, open classes, and/or other forms of community engagement
-have a clear idea for a preferred trajectory for a residency
-willing and able to commit to a minimum of 1 week and/or maximum of 4 weeks residency in Elgin, IL

What is provided:
-$1500 stipend, minimum
-Housing, if needed
-24-hour access to work and performance space
-Technical support
-Marketing support
-Video and photography support
-Artist collaboration connections, if requested
-Access to all SSSA resources
