On Thursday, May 14th, participants in The Literacy Connection's Family Literacy Program celebrated their graduation day. Adults attended English as a Second Language class Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5-7pm at the Boys & Girls Club of South Elgin while their children were involved in BGCE activities.

We are so proud of everyone's accomplishments and were happy to host an award ceremony in partnership with BGCE and Gail Borden Public Library.

Registration for the 2026-2027 Family Literacy Program begins in late summer 2026.

This program is provided by a generous grant from the Illinois Secretary of State's Literacy Office and in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Illinois and Gail Borden Public Library.
