1050am: Round 1 for today is moving east across Iowa. This will move into an environment very favorable for damaging wind gusts and some could be significant. Also can't rule out a few tornadoes especially embedded in the squall line. Another round will develop not far behind this evening and this will also be capable of all hazards including damaging wind gusts, embedded tornadoes, and flooding rains. Basically we have a severe threat today from 2pm-11pm.

MISSING PERSON ALERT: Streamwood Police Department is asking for assistance locating 32-year-old Garrett Zyles. Garrett ran away while being transported to the hospital on June 8, 2026. Garrett was last seen on June 9, 2026, at approximately 1800 hours in the 900 block of East Irving Park Rd. in Streamwood. Garrett is 6’02” approximately 165 lbs., with blonde hair and green eyes. The Department with the assistance of the Search and Rescue Strike Team will be conducting a search in the wooded area in the 900 block of Irving Park Rd. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Garrett Zyles is encouraged to call the Streamwood Police Department at 630-736-3700 or the Confidential Tip Line at 630-736-3719.
