Not that we will ever have that in Chicago! 🙏 Pansies don’t like a lot of heat, so I usually change them out around Mothers day. . . . . .

Soaking some corms today in hopes of growing these beautiful flowers this spring. I am amazed that these little goofy things are packed with all the energy needed to grow such beauty. Have you tried these?

My Thanksgiving cactus is blooming! How do I know it’s a Thanksgiving cactus and not a Christmas cactus, you ask? 1. It’s blooming right around Thanksgiving! Ok, she’s a few days late but I’m ok with that. 2. Another way to tell is the leaves are broad and flat with slight serrations along the edge. 🪴This is a very easy plant to grow. I transplanted it into cactus mix and have it In limited sun. It blooms easily with no special treatment. Are you growing Schlumbergera truncata? 🌿🌿

As the garden slows down for its winter nap I alway love seeing the flowers on Miscanthus strictus. .

Gymnocladus dioicus on the ground. Kentucky coffee is always the last to leaf out. You would think she would be the last to leave the party in the fall. But no. She’s already out of here! One of my favorite trees. Make sure you get a male so you don’t have to deal with the seed pods.

We all knew it was coming but that doesn’t make it any easier! Now I have to figure the tuber digging process. I’m sure will help me out!
