Elgin Pack 1855

Our Webelo Den created biodegradable bird feeders as a conservation project tonight and learned about the 4 essential ingredients in a wildlife habitat: shelter, water, space - and food!

These Webelos enjoyed a two mile hike in mild (if muddy!) weather today!

The Webelos Den completed a 2 mile hike today at Fitchie Creek! Join us next month for a Fox River Trail Hike that will start at the library.

Happy Halloween from BSA Troop 10 and Elgin Pack 1855!

What a beautiful morning for an urban hike through historic downtown Elgin. The Scouts (and parents) learned about Elgin’s history and architecture. We saw and enjoyed local artwork, statues, and other interesting artifacts around the downtown area, ending our hike on Walton Island and learning that the Izaak Walton League, Elgin Chapter gifted the island to the City of Elgin in the 1930’s and today are the charted organization of Pack 1855 (and BSA Troop 10 and Venturing Crew 127).

Pack 1855 joined BSA Troop 10 and Venturing Crew 127 for the Elgin 4th of July parade. It was a hot one this morning but we had a great time representing Scouting, supporting our community, and of course throwing lots of candy to the people watching the parade! All of the Scouts did a great job today! Thank you to the Izaak Walton League, Elgin Chapter for your continued support!
