FUN FACT:

I just learned that 5% of CBD sales in the US are from Green Compass.

Did you know you can use CBD on pets just like with humans? It’s true! Pets have an endocannabinoid system just like us!

It’s generally recommended that the type of CBD given to pets does not contain THC. It’s also recommended these products be h**p based and USDA organic certified. Thankfully Green Compass checks all those boxes!

Why are more veterinarians not talking about it as an option? For the same reasons many medical doctors are not talking. Up until recent years the EBS wasn’t even talked about nor was it taught in medical schools. It’s always a good idea to talk to your providers but be prepared to give a little education. I haven’t made a post to reintroduce myself in awhile and I’ve noticed a few new page likes and invites so I wanted to take a moment to say hi and tell everyone a little bit about me. I also wanted to make a litter outreach announcement since establishing myself as more of a “customer friendly” relationship based social marketing business is important to me. Here I go.

A lot of you know me, some really on an acquaintance, some more personal, and others I’m just a name. Either way I’m glad you are here! Ever since I can remember my passion has always giving back. Rewind to my youth with lots of volunteer projects, volunteering internationally, working at summer camps for individuals with disabilities, etc. I loved it. Fast forward I’m now a pediatric occupational therapist and newly a h**p based CBD advocate. Both are extremely rewarding to me.

To keep it short and seeet, started my CBD journey after a good friend was posting about it. I knew nothing but if it helped my sleep and anxiety, then I was in! I wanted to support my friend and I trusted her. Getting personal, I’ve been dealing with anxiety on/off probably since high school but I never started medication until I became a professional. As much as I think I was destined for my job, I also realize o put a lot of pressure on myself and I’m socially fearful on interacting wrong. Fast forward more, being a first time mom, really triggered my anxiety and I’m sure I had postpartum anxiety where I could have benefited from more pharmaceuticals. I want to say there is nothing wrong with this - I’m just stubborn. Anyhow, this is getting long, but I tried CBD and it’s like a weight off my shoulder. I still have the little voice in my head that tells me “why did you say that” “that was stupid” but generally I’m much better and I have much more mental clarity. And even better I weaned myself off my anti anxiety medication!

So anyhow that’s me but here is my little PSA!

The world is a mess. My guess is, you’re feeling the stress of it—even subconsciously. More people than ever are struggling with depression and anxiety than ever before. There’s so much we can’t control and that’s HARD.

Here’s what I want you to know: it’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to struggle with knowing how you should feel. It’s okay to feel compassion fatigue because you feel like there are “help me” pleas everywhere right now.

I don’t want you to ever think I’m using the tragedies in the world to make a buck. That’s not me. Does CBD have the potential for a simple way to get help, yep. Is that what this post is about? No.

If you’re struggling and don’t have someone to talk to about it, know that I am here for you. You’re not just customers or acquaintances to me. You are my people and I don’t want of you to be struggling silently. Just reach out.💚
