Today, we honor and celebrate Chief Julie M. Joyner on her retirement from the Elberta Police Department. Chief Joyner’s dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to serving and protecting our community have made a lasting impact on the Town of Elberta and everyone who has had the privilege to work alongside her. Throughout her career, she has led with integrity, strength, and compassion, setting an example of excellence in law enforcement and public service. As she begins this new chapter, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for her years of service and wish her nothing but happiness, relaxation, and many blessings in retirement. Congratulations, Chief Joyner — your service will always be remembered, and your legacy will continue to inspire.

And, from all of us at Elberta Police Department, thank you for your guidance, support, and the example you set every day. Your leadership has meant more than words can express, and we are truly grateful for the kindness, strength, and dedication you brought to this department. It has been an honor to serve under your leadership, and while you will be greatly missed, we wish you all the best in this well-deserved retirement.

** Reminder** Elberta Police Department has a drug take back box available to citizens. However, we do want to remind yu, NO LIQUIDS or GLASS. Also, it is appreciated if you will remove the medication from the bottles and place into a separate bag, such as a zip lock bag. You do not need to bring your prescription bottles in with the medication.
