Our first Summer Concert in the Park will be on Sunday, June 21, featuring Upstream, playing reggae, soca, and Caribbean music.☀️🌴🎶 The concert will begin at 4:30pm in Library Park with food trucks lining up at 4:00pm. Kids’ crafts and giveaways will be starting at 4:00pm as well.

Come ready to eat, dance, and enjoy the good vibes!
Blankets can be placed at the park after 1:00pm. Chairs are allowed but no glass containers or plastic tarps please.

All ages are welcome to come and enjoy an afternoon of great entertainment!

Join us for a fun-filled evening at Library Park on Saturday, June 20 as we celebrate Caribbean American Heritage Month with a screening of Vivo! Activities begin at 6:30pm, and the movie will start at sunset. 🌅🎥🍿

Enjoy family-friendly activities including a musical petting zoo where kids can explore and try a variety of instruments, plus arts and crafts for children. Bring your family and friends, along with blankets and lawn chairs, and settle in for a memorable night under the stars. Parking is limited, so walking is encouraged. Please note that dogs are not permitted at this event.

Time to make every day a pool day!☀️💦 Hilltop Pool is now open DAILY from 12:00pm-5:00pm through August 31.

Hilltop Pool is free for residents with a valid Rec ID. Non-resident admission is $7 for adults/$5 for youth.

Celebrate Juneteenth with an evening of community, culture, and fun at our Juneteenth Sunset Celebration in the Park!☀️ Join us on Friday, June 19, from 5:00 PM–8:00 PM at the Recreation Park Fire Circle for live music, live performers, kids’ activities, and more as we come together to honor Juneteenth. ❤️🖤💚

This event is presented by the DEI Committee and Arts & Culture Committee.

Nothing says summer like a day full of thrills, rides, and nonstop fun!🎢😆 We’re kicking off our Teen Trips this summer with a trip to Knott’s Berry Farm on Wednesday, June 24. Drop-off will be at the Teen Center at 8:00am, and the cost is $52 for residents and $65 for non-residents.

Food, festivities, and fireworks are back at Rec Park‼️🎆 Join is for our Annual 4th of July event on Saturday, July 4th with daytime events from 10:00am–3:00pm and evening events from 5:00pm–9:00pm. The fireworks show will start at 9:00pm following the evening events. The streets will be closed around the park to allow you to safely enjoy all the festivities we have planned!

Daytime events will include a group of contests like hula hoop, a water balloon toss, a watermelon eating contest presented by Rotary Club, and a pie eating contest presented by Kiwanis Club. There will also be races including a 3-legged sack race, toddler and youth races, and a diaper derby for crawlers.

Evening events will include live music from The AstroYatchs, food booths, and fireworks! Stevenson and Softball Field entry begins at 5:00pm. Stevenson and Softball Field blanket seating opens at 8:00am–9:00am. Please remember to bring your wristbands and either a Rec ID card or driver’s license on the day of the event for morning entry to the Softball Field for Resident Priority Seating.

Wristbands are available at the Joslyn Center, Checkout Building, and Clubhouse in Recreation Park now through July 3rd. El Segundo residents can receive a maximum of 4 free wristbands per adult with a valid Rec ID card. Non-residents or those without Rec ID cards can purchase wristbands for $5 each. Wristbands are required for entry to Softball and Stevenson Fields during evening events—entry is free for children under 2. General admission wristbands may also be purchased on the day of the event for $5.

Visit the registration link in our bio or call us at 310-524-2362 to check the status of your Rec ID. Rec ID cards may only be purchased or renewed in person at the Clubhouse, Checkout Building, Joslyn Center, or Aquatics Center. Please bring two forms of identification showing El Segundo residency (for example, a driver’s license and utility bill).

Need assistance with recreation program fees? The Recreation Program Scholarship helps eligible El Segundo residents participate in a variety of Recreation & Parks programs and activities throughout the year, including sports, camps, swim programs, fitness classes, arts programs, and more!

Eligible residents may receive up to $200 per person and $600 per household annually. Scholarship eligibility is based on household size and income, and applications are accepted year-round.

For the current May through July application period, scholarships will be reviewed and awarded on a rolling basis throughout the summer, so approved applicants will not need to wait until August to receive assistance.
