We interviewed the Sandfall Interactive team about the making of 𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘖𝘣𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘳: 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 33, and how Xsens motion capture supported their cinematic production workflow.

With more than four and a half hours of cinematics to create, the team needed a setup that was fast, flexible, and easy to use. Xsens helped them capture performances in different spaces, iterate quickly, and keep the workflow close to Unreal Engine. 🌘

In a recent episode of 𝘉𝘉𝘊’𝘴 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦, candidates were challenged to build a gamified fitness experience.

To bring their concept to life, they used Xsens motion capture to drive a character in real-time, with support from Actor Capture.

With limited time and no mocap background, teams were able to quickly set up, capture movement, and present a working interactive demo.

VTuber Hana X is building cinematic content, live shows, and music videos as a one-person studio. But like many creators, her early setup meant spending more time fixing motion than creating it.
