Support the Future of the Record. π
Court reporting students pour everything into their training,
and we'd love your help in making sure finances never stand in the way of their success.
On behalf of HCRCA, we welcome your support.
Every contribution helps create opportunities for future court reporters. Your donation will go toward their tuition, helping them take the next step in their education and career. π

Constance Yu-Hwa Chung.
Daughter of immigrants.
Youngest of ten.
The only one born on American soil.
Growing up in a world that hadn't yet made space for someone like her.
At a time when Asian faces were still finding their place in the spotlight, Connie Chung didn't wait for an invitation.
She started as a news secretary,
worked her way up, and never looked back.
In 1993, she sat down at the CBS Evening News desk and made history as the first Asian American to co-anchor a major network broadcast.
Not a guest. Not a substitute.
A movement.
She proved that our voices belong in every room.
Our faces belong on every screen.
And our stories are worth telling,
because they are powerful,
they are real, and they are ours.
This AANHPI Heritage Month, we honor Connie Chung who rose so the rest of us could rise higher.
Your roots are not a limitation.
They are your foundation.
You were always meant to take up space.
And because of her, we know it too.π©π»βπΌ

She was used to being the quiet one in the room.
Present. Focused. Observing.
That kind of discipline stays within.
For Irene, it became more than a skill.
It shaped how she grew, how she moved, and how she defined her path.
Thank you, Patrick Greenwood, for having Irene on your podcast!
