A few weeks ago, our Director of Operations, Michael Nelson, had the opportunity to represent Tech Frontier as a panelist during the 2026 TechSpark Fellows Summit hosted at La Nube.
The Microsoft TechSpark Fellows Program brings together leaders from across the country who are working to advance economic opportunity, innovation, workforce development, and AI readiness in their communities. During their visit to the Borderplex, fellows engaged with regional organizations and community leaders to exchange ideas, share best practices, and explore strategies for creating lasting impact through technology and collaboration.
As part of the STEAM Education in the Borderplex panel, Michael joined fellow leaders in discussing the evolving educational landscape, the integration of emerging technologies such as AI into learning experiences, and the importance of building pathways that prepare students and professionals for the future workforce.
The summit also highlighted the innovative work taking place across our region through organizations including Tech Frontier, La Nube, Pioneers 21 Business Incubator and Co-Work Space, The Bridge Accelerator, El Paso Chamber, La Rodadora, and UTEP - The University of Texas at El Paso, among others.
A special thank you to Omar Saucedo, Jonathan Childress, Microsoft, and the entire summit team for bringing together changemakers from across the country and creating space for meaningful conversations about innovation, collaboration, and community impact.
