MarÃa came to Ciudad Juárez seeking safety. A Guatemalan migrant woman far from home, she needed support navigating a new country and a new system. Through the Border Refugee Assistance Fund, the Hope Border Institute and our partners were able to walk alongside her, helping her secure her Mexican residency permit.
This is what accompaniment looks like: standing with families as they build their futures, honoring their strength and agency every step of the way.
You can help make stories like MarÃa’s possible. Support the Border Refugee Assistance Fund at hopeborder.org/humanitarian-action.

Save the Date | Border Mass 250
Join us on Friday, June 26, 2026 for a binational celebration of faith, solidarity and the contributions of immigrants. As we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States, we will come together as a nation and as a Church to give thanks for the contributions of immigrants to our country over these centuries.
With the participation of bishops and communities from both sides of the border, we will come together in Nogales, Arizona and Nogales, Sonora to celebrate the Eucharist, followed by a cross-border procession and rosary.
As communities of faith, we gather to recognize the dignity, contributions and journeys of migrants, and to stand in solidarity with all those who seek hope, belonging and safety.
We warmly invite all members of the community, especially those who have accompanied migrants closely.
