Maranatha El Paso congratulates our Pastor Isaac Mata for this achievement in his Pastoral Ministry. By the Grace of God, he has been allowed to complete one more phase of his ministry with the purpose of preparing himself even more for the blessing of the Body of Christ.

“The Program for Alternative Studies (PAS) is a certified program overseen by the Board of Trustees of Memphis Theological Seminary. It is an alternative route to ordination designed to accommodate those who possess significant gifts for theological ministry. It is intended to train Servants who are called by God to be successful in ministry. PAS is an approved educational preparation for ordained ministers in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. This denomination offers the maximum possible preparation to people who are called by God, who have gifts for the ministry.”

In Deborah we find a woman willing to serve. It was not her calling per se because we must remember that God’s word was meant for Barak, the responsibility was on him, to go and fight and deliver His people. But since he backed out, rejecting the blessing of his calling, then God uses Deborah to free his people from oppression, and slavery.

Each and every one of us has a purpose in God's plans. All of us are called to serve. While some are called to be Pastors, leaders, elders, and teachers, others are called to be Believers where the opportunity comes so you can serve Him by being a good student, a good worker, being a doctor, architect, someone with a career. God calls us to serve with our various gifts to unify us as a body in service to him. God has plans for you. And he calls you and tells you that he wants to use you: to pray for his Church, to Attend on a regular basis since you are the Church of Christ, and to preach the Gospel.

The People of God had strayed away from his ways!
They were living in debauchery or lives given into everything immoral! It was a dark period where Israel lived in constant disobedience to God! But even in that difficult time there were people who knew how to keep their dignity. Who knew how to give a good testimony; That no matter if family, friends, neighbors were doing what is wrong, There was one who knew how to raise the name of God on high. Someone who lived according to the Word of God. Deborah The Prophetess!

If we take a peak at present times we can see that we too are living in such times! where it is easier to follow the current of the world than to swim against it. Where we no longer know the difference between a believer and a pagan. God's people living in disobedience to his word. Now the opportunity falls on this:

Will you, like the rest of the herd, do the easy thing, go with the flow, live according to the world in order to be accepted? “Or” Will you stand up like Deborah, and even if the world is upside down that you continue to stand for the Lord?
Choose to live a Life for God! Choose to obey his word! Chose to be a Good Testimony! Chose to be the light 💡 to this dark world!

We are "ALL" sinners! It is something to have in mind! Every person was born with this defect since Adam and Eve! Meaning that it is in our nature to want to do what is wrong! that is why God says in Galatians 5:16, "But I say, Live by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the Flesh" How can we escape our own Nature? BY LIVING IN THE SPIRIT...you will be free from your own self, free from your natural desires; you will not fall under temptation, you will withstand anything Satan throws against you if you are Living in the SPIRIT!
Quickly: In Order to Live in the Spirit WE MUST:

1.- Establish a Relationship with God
(Read the Bible, Pray Every day and Meditate in the Lord)

2.-Trust in God
(We must have faith in HIM despite Trials and Tribulation,
Problems and sickness; DESPITE ANY SUFFERING)

3.- Accept God's Will
(HE has plans for YOU! But at times, those plans don't suit us,
or we might THINK they are beyond our capabilities but know
that in that CIRCUMSTANCE you will see the GREAT GOD at
WORK in your WEAKNESSES!)

4.- Dedicate Your Life in Service
(Surrender everything to God! Be involved in God's Work! Let
us put ourselves before our Lord with all willingness! Let us
Respond: "Speak LORD, for your SERVANT is LISTENING!)
