It’s been a while! Hello Facebook. I had plans to release a new feature of POPtraits Studio this year, but then I decided to try my hand at community theater! It’s been an exciting endeavor (the show is in just a couple of weeks!). I did take a little time off from practicing my lines and working on my costumes, however, to paint this little lady. Sophie was a very loved pup who has since crossed the rainbow bridge. Very happy to have commemorated her with this 8x10 painting, forever resting in her favorite chair.

Say Cheese-Burgers, Metzalaars!

I love this family and am beyond pleased with how this Bobs-Burgerified portrait turned out. 🍔🖼️

This is “Reluctant Adventures.” It was an honor to be trusted with this memorial piece for my friend’s mother in memory of her own mother. It’s also the largest painting I’ve done yet—16x20! I think the zinnia is my favorite part.

Thanks to Jernice for trusting me to create this special retirement gift for her husband, Bob. The straight lines were a challenge, but I think I conquered it! 💪

Do you have a special place that you hold dear that you’d like to commemorate? I’d love to chat!

Hello all! It's been awhile *Cue the soothing sound of Aaron Lewis of Staind* Sorry for being a bit radio silent lately - life and my full-time job have kept me busy. That being said, I have a few projects I've been working on to share with you soon. And a few more in the works!

If you're looking for last-minute Christmas gifts, I'm selling prints and posters of my original artwork. Some of the originals are available as well.

Stay tuned for updates on my latest artworks, and please reach out if you're interested in prints, posters, or even commissions. Thank you all for your support, and Merry Christmas! 💜🎄

For my dad’s birthday this year, my stepmom commissioned me to paint a funny filtered photo of him and their buddy, Jinks the raccoon. 🦝 It was really great bringing my father to life on canvas. The reference photo is in the comments! 🥰

Let me know if you need a handpainted portrait for your loved one’s birthday or special occasion!

This is a personal piece of art I created for my home. I thrifted the sepia dock canvas and knew I wanted to add something colorful into the image. Of course, my mind went to SpongeBob! I regretted the scale I chose at the start (painting tiny is hard 😮‍💨), but I really love the end result.

If you’d like an old piece of wall art spiced up, hit me up!

This one is called “Sheriff Rango.” 🦎

He was family, and it was an honor to paint him! My cousin Makayla wanted to surprise her momma, Louella, with a painting of Rango, her late furbaby. He has been gone for years now but is still very missed.

"Lola" has been gifted, so now I will finally share! 🎁
Like many cherished pets, Lola has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I was presented with several options of poses meant to memorialize Lola and told to choose whichever spoke to me. I chose the image of her resting peacefully on the back of the sofa. Why? As a dog mom myself, I understood the importance of the everyday, mundane beauty of our furry companions and what they bring to our lives. What, in turn, we miss when they are no longer with us. As the saying goes, "Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole." 🫶🐕

I recently finished this commission to commemorate the bond between fur-babe and dog mom. I hope Kristin can look at “Howie P.” for years to come and remember all the happy memories with her buddy, even when he is no longer by her side. 🫶
