Buckminster Fuller famously wrote that humanity is in a "final exam as to whether or not it qualifies for continuance in the Universe." He argued that our survival depends on individual integrity, giving up selfish "me first" mindsets, and using our technology to create a world that works for everyone. We could’ve taken preventative action to avoid human caused climate change but we are now at the point that we have to take action for survival. 🌎

"This is truly a full-circle moment for me" - Artist KOOL KOOR presents: AXION SYMMETRA a special exhibition of artwork created on site in the Fuller Dome. With an opening reception on Sunday, 6/21/26 (the Summer Solstice) starting at 3PM. The artist will be in attendance, all are welcome, we'll see you in the dome on the solstice for this historic exhibition. Kool Koor has traveled to the dome from Belgium, and as a youth growing up in the Bronx, Koor was inspired by a rendering he saw of Buckminster Fuller's futuristic idea to construct a geodesic dome over New York City. Koor's art has been infused with futuristic architectural echoes ever since. The opening reception of AXION SYMMETRA is 6/21/26 at 3PM.

"The Awakened Heart" • Dharma Talks with Dan Johanning in the Fuller Dome at SIUE • Wed. June 17th 7-9 PM register at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/dharma-talks-with-dan-johanning-tickets-1991927210909 Dan will discuss the principles and philosophy of Theravada Buddhism, including the eightfold path, the Four Noble Truths, and aspects of Dharma, and will lead attendees through a mindfulness meditation.
For the conclusion of the series, Dan will be joined by his mentors, Traditional Lineage Theravaden monks, Ajahn Ya and Ajahn Sathean.
Dan is a certified mindfulness/metta meditation teacher through Dharma Moon & Tibet House and lineage to the Thai Forest tradition through their teacher, Luang Por Piriya.
