The band I play drums and mix for released a new EP today!

Super Glitch Kibbitz, by Glitch Kibbitz 5 track album

I've been working so hard (and still am!) on this album. One that is filled from top to bottom with dance music!

I had the pleasure of providing the percussion and the mixing for this project and I'm so excited to finally share it with the world. Klezmer reimaginings of some classic and forgotten videogame favorites with a handful of klezmer standards folded in there for good measure.

We've got a čoček based on the desert music from Super Mario Land, a two-movement hora and freilach dance party based on the Kraid boss music from Metroid, a full-on vaudeville take on Kirby's "Gourmet Race", and super vibey chilled out blues cover of Chemical Plant Zone from Sonic 2, and even a big ole speed-up/slowdown jam of Luigi's Mansion theme.

I play in a klezmer band and we just put out a 5 track of tunes from Legend of Zelda, Shovel Knight, Banjo-Kazooie, and Secret of Mana.

We have so many new instruments on this release! Tuba, bass clarinet, the 8-string Turkish saz, darbouka, riq, castanets, even an anvil!
