Write on the Sound is small, affordable 3-day writers' conference in Edmonds WA It is an ideal setting to catch up on your writing potential!

Presented by the City of Edmonds Arts Commission, Write on the Sound Writers' Conference (WOTS) was founded in 1986. The conference is held in The Frances Anderson Center, an historic school house which is home to the Edmonds Arts Commission. The James Welch Prize — an annual award for two outstanding poems written by Indigenous poets — is now open for FEE-FREE contest submissions, 12/15-2/15 🌨️

Two first-place finalists will be published in Poetry Northwest, each winning a $1,000 prize and an all-expenses-paid trip to read with the judge. Please check the link in our bio for eligibility information and submission guidelines. We can’t wait to meet the future prize-winners and share the gift of their writing widely!
