ELLC provides quality care for children aged 2m - 5 years old through low ratios and caring teachers. We are also incorporating a Virtual Learning Pod School-Age Program to help families navigate this new normal with Schools going 100% remote for Fall 2020. We provide meals in all our classroom except our Infant Classroom, as we feel parents should guide their babies eating for the first year. Whi

Our outdoor learning environment just received a major upgrade! This week, our Toddlers celebrated the arrival of a brand-new sandbox, while our older explorers discovered a fresh collection of gems, bones, and fossils hidden in theirs.
While it looks like a day of play, these young scientists are hard at work on complex developmental milestones:
Early Physics & Math: By filling, pouring, and molding, the children are investigating concepts like volume, capacity, and density.
Spatial Awareness: Navigating the sand and organizing their "dig sites" helps them understand how objects occupy space.
Fine Motor Precision: Using tools to uncover delicate fossils hones the hand-eye coordination needed for future writing.
Whether theyβre uncovering "ancient" remains or mastering the art of the sandcastle, our kiddos are building the foundations for a lifetime of curiosity. Who knows? We might just have some future paleontologists and geologists in our midst!

We canβt wait to celebrate our incredible teachers next week! Every year, our amazing families help us spoil them with daily meals, thoughtful gifts, thank-you cards, and a special teacher outing. Our educators truly deserve all this and so much more for everything they do!

Who doesn't love a good visual? Lately, our main focus in our two oldest classrooms has been self-regulation. When our children are having big feelings, what do they do? What strategies do they know? What resources do they have? Beyond putting words to their feelings, we want to teach them ways to cope with their big feelings. The slight change in focus has done wonders for the children here at the center. We couldn't be happier to be able to teach these skills to the children who come through our doors.

ππ Celebrate the Magic of Christmas Traditions! ππ
Christmas is a time of wonder, joy, and cherished traditions passed down through generations. At ELLC, we cherish the unique ways our families and community members honor this special time of year.
From the glow of candles to the sparkle of holiday lights, traditions create a sense of wonder for children and adults alike. Traditions teach us about love, generosity, and the power of togetherness. Whether your family gathers to bake cookies, sings carols by the tree, or carries on meaningful cultural rituals, each tradition contributes to the rich tapestry of our shared holiday experience.
This season, we invite you to join us in celebrating the magic of traditions. What special ways does your family embrace the joy of Christmas? What were some of your favs growing up? What do you plan to keep for your little family? And what inspiration have you found that may start a new tradition in your family?

π» Drop your favorite tradition below! Share your experiences and ideas and keep the spirit of Christmas alive through the stories, customs, and love we pass around.
