It’s been nearly 3 years.

And tomorrow is finally the day.

3 years ago, I was able to make a record. My very first. You learn a lot about yourself when you make a record. What you’re good at and where you need to grow. As a songwriter and as a person.

You also learn about what you’re trying to say. Why bother write a song, make a record, spend countless hours in a room trying to get the right take or tone. What’s it all for?

For me, this record marks the end of one chapter and the start of the next. These songs are where I come from, and a little bit of where I’m going. Maybe you’ll relate to them. Maybe you’ll find a little of yourself in these stories. If not, that’s ok too.

Tomorrow is my birthday, so I’ve decided to finally let it see daylight.

I feel so privileged to be a part of the community of talented songwriters who gathered to share their art last night at Penny Lane Studios. I was so blown away by the music being played that I forgot to take pictures or videos. ( we’ll get some next time!)

Time for some new music!

This was the first song recorded for the upcoming EP. I remember the excitement I felt sitting down in the booth - such a good memory.

I just got my latest roll of B&W film back from development and these are hands down my favorite shots of the roll. I don’t own a Benson amp yet but thankfully of has lent me his to test drive.

I’ll definitely be making some prints of these for the office.
