Piano Preservation

Tonight’s show was a success and the piano complemented the Italian Tenors beautifully.

Now that all of the obstructing felt and mics have been removed, we’re on to pitch correction and tuning in this recording studio.

It’s time to call for some reinforcements.

The stage is set and the house is open.

If this is the biggest crisis of the day, it’ll be a good day.

Today’s performance piano is a Weber console in a public elementary school MPR. The winter concert started at 7pm.

Action repairs can require a lot of dinky parts. Flanges and pins and springs, oh my!

I started off this morning with a Baldwin upright on the choir loft of Sacred Heart RCC. Is it beginning to look a little bit like Christmas? 🎄

Church tunings are in high demand this month. 🎄⛪️🎄

Cleaning this Yamaha grand took awhile, but it was so satisfying to me and the client once it was done. These pictures are just a brief sampling. Everywhere else on and inside the piano was equally as dirty. 🫣
