Potential for scattered severe storms Monday between 5-10pm. Best chance for Southern and Western sections of NJ. A deep Southerly flow will develop Monday ahead of a cold front. This will cause temperatures to pop into the 60s (cooler at the coast). Showers are possible just about anytime. Some of the rainfall will be heavy. An inch of rain will be common. It’ll be windy. Thunderstorms most likely will accompany the front by evening. Some of the storms may turn severe, especially over Southern and Western sections (map displayed). Be weather aware. https://johnmarshallweather.com for your no hype, no nonsense forecast.

80º+ today away from the colder Atlantic- a June feel! It's all about location. A dramatic contrast in temperatures once again tomorrow. The map displays around a thirty five degree difference in temperatures. You can thank the cold Atlantic for the chill along the coast, meanwhile inland it will be Summer-like. https://johnmarshallweather.com for the just updated 5 day forecast.

Grateful for today's weather! It's been forever since it felt so nice. Our May feel will continue through Wednesday. Yes, temperatures will be cooler along the shore and over parts of Long Island due to the much colder Atlantic sea breeze. Enjoy! https://johnmarshallweather.com -your weather source.

Quick hitting snow showers or a period of light snow is likely late tonight into Wednesday mid to late morning with a clipper passing well to the North. A trace to an inch is possible over central NJ and the Southern NYC vicinity. 1″-2″ is possible farther to the North. Areas to the South of the City may see a mix of rain or not much in the way of any precipitation. Whatever falls will be gone by afternoon as we get into the 40s! https://johnmarshallweather.com for your updated 5 day forecast.

***3pm Sat Update. BLIZZARD WARNING has been expanded to include much of the NYC tri-state area. THIS will be a dangerous storm.

Bombogenesis will occur. This is a meteorological term. The “birth” of a bomb- a rapidly deepening storm of a drop in atmospheric pressure of 24mb with 24 hours (in this case it may happen within 12-18 hours!). A classic Nor’easter. The storm will bring very heavy snowfall at 2″/hr, 40-60mph winds, thunder snow and whiteout conditions. This will be tend to be a heavier, wetter snow. Isolated power outages are possible. I have not changed the potential snow amounts as of this writing. These amounts will get altered as new computer guidance comes in.

It starts as on and off light snow and some rain Sunday morning then goes over to all snow later in the afternoon. The brunt of the storm will be Sunday night through Monday morning. A foot of snow will be common with coastal areas approaching 20″. Prepare now. The snow will taper off Monday afternoon. https://johnmarshallweather.com for your no hype, no nonsense forecast.
